T.P.P.Nair

Thekkumpadan Puthenveetil Padmanabhan Nair, known as T.P.P. Nair was the Captain and Coach of Indian Volleyball team at IV Asian games played at Jakarta, Indonesia, where India won a Silver Medal.[1]

Personal Life T.P.P Nair was born in 1934 in a small village, Cherukunnu, Kannur District, Kerala.

Career T.P.P Nair was the captain of the Indian Volleyball team that played against Russia in 1954 and clinched the silver in 1962 Jakarta Asian Games[2]. He was conferred the Dhyan Chand Award, the highest award in Indian sports for lifetime achievement. Dhyan Chand Award 2015.

T.P.P conferred with Dhyan Chand Awards in 2015 by President Shri Pranab Mukherjee at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
