Theodor Landscheidt

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Theodor Landscheidt (Bremen, 1927 – May 20, 2004) was a German author, astrologer and amateur climatologist.[1]

In 1989, Landscheidt forecast a period of sunspot minima after 1990, accompanied by increased cold, with a stronger minimum and more intense cold that should peak in 2030 [1][2] His work on solar cycles has been cited by global warming skeptics [3] to argue that observed warming is not anthropogenic and will soon be reversed, based on an assumption that fluctuations in climate are controlled by solar activity.[4]

In 1983 he founded and financed the "Schroeter Institute for Research in Cycles of Solar Activity" in Lilienthal, near Bremen.[5] The Institute later moved with him to Nova Scotia, Canada.[citation needed]
