The There and Back Light Railway is a portable rideable miniature railway that runs on 150m (450 feet) of 7 1⁄4 in (184 mm) track across the UK.[1]
Overview[edit]
The Railway was founded in August 2019 in Leicestershire and used a Bagnall Locomotive called 'Nomi', 200 feet of track and a single coach[2]. The track length has since been extended to 450 feet by 2022. Moose the Scamp type locomotive was built during 2020 to provide backup for the steam locomotive. The railway acquired its second full size coach during 2021
In 2022 The railway company signed an agreement[3] with the Melton Mowbray Town Estate to manage the railway in Wilton Park in Melton Mowbray
