Thierry Arnaud, was born in 1960, and is a French offshore sailor and skipper. In 1992 he competed in the Vendée Globe onboard the IMOCA 60 class yacht sponsored by Le Monde informatics. The boat was only launched two months before departure, and it was dismasted soon after departure and abandoned[1].
