Thimi Filipi
Thimi Filipi (born March 1, 1926 – July 1, 1990) was an Albanian actor who stood out in Albanian cinema in the roles of fathers, grandfathers, elders, and Germans.

Life
Thimi Filipi was born in the city of Korça in 1926. His first roles were in non-professional troupes in the city of Korça. During the Second World War, he participated in partisan formations, where he worked to create partisan theaters. At the end of the war, he began working at the Korça hospital. He finished his acting course and started playing some roles with the city's professional theater. In 1954, he started working as a professional actor at the "Andon Zako Çajupi" theater. His first role was in the drama *The Flower of Memory*. Further roles would follow, making him well known to the public.
In cinematography, he acted in more than 30 feature and television films. His first role in cinematography coincided with the first entirely Albanian film, *Tana*, in the role of party secretary. Other roles followed, such as that of Neziri in *Përballimi*, Fahredini in [1] *The Man with the Ball*, Xhemal Struga in *Face to Face*, Nashua in *Like everyone else*, Gramozi in *Nothing is forgotten*, and Irena's father in *Spring did not come only*, etc. In 1986, he received the "Aleksander Moisiu" Award.[2]
Death
He passed away in Korça on July 1, 1990.
For his artistic merits, on August 5, 1991, Thimi Filipi was honored with the high title "People's Artist" (after his death).
