Thomas B. Griffin (1858-1918) was an American Impressionist painter of landscapes, particularly of Catskill Mountains.
Life
Thomas Bailey (or Bailey Bartholomew) Griffin was born in London, later immigrating to the US. He was educated at National Academy of Design, exhibiting frequently (paintings such as "Views from the Catskills (from Haine's Corners)" and "Hunter Mountain, Catskills") at Academy exhibitions while living in New York.[1] He later opened a studio in Baltimore.[1] He died in New York at the age of 60.
His works are in the collections of Brooklyn Museum[2] and The Hyde Collection[3].
