Thomas Dickey

Thomas Edgar Dickey is an American software engineer. He is the maintainer of several notable programs and libraries, including

• the Lynx web browser,
• the xterm terminal emulator, and
• the ncurses programming library.

He studied Electrical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and received his PhD in 1981.
