Tiger Con
Tiger Con is a fan convention held annually in Valdosta, Georgia.
Tiger Con is an anime, sci-fi, gaming, cosplay and comic convention held in Valdosta, Georgia. The convention traces its origins to the Moody Comics and Anime Club, an unofficial recreational club focusing on anime, sci-fi, and gaming which meets monthly on Moody Air Force Base.[1] Moody AFB is the home of the Flying Tigers, and while the convention is not officially connected with the Air Force, they selected the name Tiger Con to reflect their origins as a base club. Along those same lines, their mascot Tora was designed to evoke the idea of a flying tiger. She has tiger ears, paws and tail, along with a pair of wings.[2]

Tiger Con also holds a smaller event each year, named Cub Con. This event, originally held at the Moody AFB Base Library, serves as an opportunity for new members of the Tiger Con staff to learn their role while experienced staff members are able to keep in practice. Cub Con includes all the aspects of the full-sized Tiger Con, such as the Maid Cafe, panels, contests, etc., with the exception of celebrity guests.[7] Cub Con was held every year that Tiger Con was held, with the exception of 2020, when Tiger Con was cancelled due to COVID-19, but Cub Con was held early enough in the year that the pandemic shutdown did not affect it. In 2022, Cub Con hosted a concert by anime rapper None Like Joshua.[8]
