Tim Barnes
Tim Barnes (born 7 July 1998 - Chicago , Illinois) is an American professional basketball player for Löwen BC. Barnes was drafted with the 6th pick in the first round of the inaugural Official Basketball Association (OBA) league draft by The Chi.[1] In the his first season for Löwen, Barnes won MVP honors for the 2021-22 season as well as being named to the All-League First team and Point Guard of the Year. He was eligible for the NBA draft in 2020.[2][3]

Basketball Career[edit]
Barnes attended Southland College Prep Charter High School in Richton Park, IL. In 2016, he became the first student in the school’s history to earn an athletic and academic scholarship, while setting the basketball team’s all time record in points (1,017), assists (542), and three-pointers made (357).[4]
On April 14, 2016, Barnes committed to Beloit College to continue his athletic and academic career. Barnes would play two years with the Buccaneers before eventually making the decision to play professionally in November 2018. In December 2018, Barnes signed a 1-year deal with the Windy City Groove and eventually was traded to The Chi.
Off the court in June 2018, Barnes hosted his first ever camp named “Tim Barnes Skills Camp”. The event was held at Huth Middle School in Matteson, IL and served as a three-day safe haven for the kids of the neighborhood as they learned from and heard
Barnes instruct them personally. Over 50 campers reportedly were in attendance, and all proceeds were donated to Southland College Prep, Barnes’ former high school. Barnes is currently partnered with a number of brands, including McDavid USA, The Hooplife Brand, Gasavio, and Powerhandz.
