Biography

Hebert was born on October 15, 1962, in Caribou, Maine, to parents Oscar Xavier Hebert and Jeanne Joyce Hebert. After graduating high school, Tim enlisted in the United States Air Force[3], where he pursued studies in electronics, digital computer systems, and avionics.[1] He furthered his education at various institutions, including Colorado Technical College[4], Community College of Aurora, University of Denver, University of Rhode Island, and Bryant University, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. In recognition of his contributions to the business world, he received an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration in 2014. [2][5]

Tim Hebert started his career after his service in the United States Air Force as Senior Airman from 1980 to 1984.[6] Later, he embarked on a distinguished entrepreneurial journey that spans over four decades.[3][5][4]

In 1989, Hebert co-founded Atrion[7], a venture that started as a two-person operation and transitioned into a $170-million IT powerhouse over the course of 33 years. His work with the Boy Scouts of America’s Narragansett Council[1] led to bringing scouting to over 1200 of Rhode Island’s inner-city youth.[6] As the President of the Ocean State Pops Orchestra, he has been instrumental in leading and shaping the orchestra's vision, fostering a strong sense of community.
