History

Tindefilm was founded by producer Hilde Nerland and cinematographer Tor Sivertstøl in 2013. In 2015 they were joined by actor Kristofer Hivju and director Gry Molvær Hivju, and together with long term collaborators Sylvia Strand and Jonathan Gregory they form a tight-knit creative team of experienced professionals who all share the same vision; creating high quality, filmic content for the global market. Tindefilm’s first production, ‘Lysleite’, won a Gullruten (Norwegian TV awards) and ‘Bit – Ballerina Bulldog’ was nominated for best documentary at Bergen International Film Festival as well as Gullruten for best original score. Tindefilm’s first TV series, ‘Kari-Anne på Røst’ was recommissioned for a second series, broadcast on NRK August 2018, and the Christmas Special of the program captured 40% of the TV audience in Norway. Upcoming projects include a three-part series ‘The Diary’ due for broadcast on NRK spring 2020, as well as ‘Fearless', starring Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju due for broadcast 2021.
