Tirutsava is the annual techno-cultural fest of Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati, which is generally held in February or March. Started in 2017 as Anfaang, and continuing as Tirutsava since 2018, it is growing year by year at a good pace with a footfall of 20,000[1] in the last edition.

History[edit]

Anfang, as it was called in 2017 was the First edition, which meant "Begining" in German, marked the beginning of this fest. Later it transformed into Tirutsava, which is an amalgamation of "Tiru" from the city of Tirupati, which houses the institute and "Utsava" which meant Festival in Sanskrit.

Over the years, this Student Organized fest has seen prominent icons like LV Revanth, Sreerama Chandra, Gajendra Verma, Gaurav Mehta.

Pro shows[edit]

The Pro shows were mainly live concerts of notable music artists like Lagori[2] in 2019, The Indian Idol 9 winner Revanth in 2020, Gajendra Verma in 2021[3], The Indian Idol 5 winner Sreerama Chandra in 2022[4], Stand up comedy shows by comedians like Kenny Sebastian and EDM nights with Dj's like DJ Eesha, Ashtrix, Progressive Brothers, Teri Miko, etc.

Competitions[edit]

Tirutsava hosts a multiple technical and cultural competitions open for everyone. Cultural contests include singing, dance, fine arts , photography, and many other domains, while technical competetions are in the fields of Web and App development, Robotics, Ethical hacking, Competetive coding, etc. Fun outdoor contests like Treasure hund, Paintball, Bubble football, etc. were also a part of the fest.

Workshops and Special talks[edit]

Apart from contests and pro shows, Tirutsava offers a series of workshops on various technical subjects like Cyber securities, Ethical Hacking, Data Science, etc. conducted by faculty members of the institute or professionals hired externally. Ignite, is one such initiative where school students are given an idea about engineering, JEE and the life there after by experienced people. While Special talks, brings in leading business persons or scientists to talk about issues which are in of current need in the society.

Structure of the Organization[edit]

Tirutsava Organizing Team is structured as a multitude of Committees working in coordination with each other. The Committees include the Sponsorship committee, responsible for getting sponsors and funding for the fest; Marketing Committee, dedicated to publicising the fest among other colleges, and getting participation for the events at the fest; Events management committee, for the organization of all the contests, workshops and other events; Web, Graphic Design and Content Development committees taking care of the Website, posters and social media presence of the fest; Security, Logistics and Hospitality committee catering the needs of the visitors and participants of the fest on campus; Creative Cell, responsible for adding beauty to the venues with creative decorations and ideas.
