The podcast is available on major platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Podbean, and iHeart Radio, and maintains an active presence on social media under the handle @tisthepodcast. Tis the Podcast also co-founded the Christmas Podcast Network alongside other holiday-themed podcasts.[1]
History
Tis the Podcast in a Reddit thread on the subreddit r/Christmas when Anthony posted about starting a Christmas Podcast. Thom replied saying he had experience with podcasting from his time at IBM while working on the New Builders' Podcast. The two recruited Julia with the idea of a podcast called Tis the Podcast which would be a weekly podcast to rank, review, and discuss Christmas movies, show, and tv specials.
After months of planning, Tis the Podcast launched in August 2017 with a weekly release that continues.

Not Another Christmas Story
Another Christmas Story is a Christmas-themed ensemble novel by Anthony Caruso, originally written and presented as a serialized narrative on the podcast ’Tis the Podcast. Set primarily in New York City in the days leading up to Christmas, the story follows multiple intersecting characters and plotlines that explore themes of family, tradition, and holiday spirit. The work was first released chapter by chapter in audio form on the podcast and related Christmas podcast feeds before being made available as a complete book.
Christmas Eve Stories
’‘Tis the Podcast’ does a recurring Christmas Eve story special each year: a short, stand‑alone episode released on December 24 in which one of you reads a festive story for listeners. Recent examples include the 2025 episode “Christmas Eve 2025 Story Anthony Caruso’s ‘’Twas the Night Before ’Tis‑Mas’,”[10] an original piece by Anthony that celebrates the show and its community, 2024 Story – Brian Baumgartner’s and Ben Silverman’s “The Night Before Christmas at Dunder Mifflin”, 2023 Story – Ivan Cohen’s “Batman Returns: One Dark Christmas Eve”, 2022 – Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and the 2021 special featuring John Updike’s “The Twelve Terrors of Christmas.” These episodes are framed as gifts to the “Christmas Fanatics” who follow the show all year and sit alongside your regular Monday film and TV discussions in the feed.
