Background[edit]
In March 1970, Skin Alley released their self-titled studio album, it being their first. Only three months after the release of their debut album, they would return to the studio in order to start working on a follow up. At this point bandmember Thomas Crimble would depart for rock band Hawkwind, and would be replaced by musician (bassist and flutist) and ex Atomic Rooster member, Nick Graham. This change in line-up would cause the band to lean towards a more improvisational style, as the band would continue into recording their significant second album.

Reception and Legacy[edit]
To Pagham & Beyond is often regarded by prog-rock fans, as an obscure great, some even calling it an essential to a collector. It never received mainstream attention, perhaps due to the fact that the style of music they played has never been too popular.[1]
