Todd Stapleton (born August 29, 1970) is an American self-taught composer and sound artist specializing in abstract and ambient form[1]. He is most known for recording as Flock From Spokane since 2001, but has also been involved with several collaborative projects as well as a solo artist.

Flock From Spokane[edit]

Todd Stapleton began recording as Flock From Spokane in 2001 while still living in Knoxville, Tennessee. He developed an underground following based on unofficial circulation of his recordings. In 2007, he released a limited edition handmade EP, entitled The Cold Noise Of Space EP. Todd relocated to Arizona in 2008 and continues to record as Flock From Spokane. In 2011, the official debut release, Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 1[2] was released in both digital and physical formats. Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 2[3] was released in 2016.

Works[edit]

Todd Stapleton released his first solo work under his own name in 2017, one epic composition entitled Requiem For A Dying Sea[4]. He soon after released several more projects, culminating in the January, 2018 release of Drifts, a series of four ambient EPs. He is currently preparing the release of The Awakening, coming in December, 2018.
