Tom Badley (artist)
Tom Badley (born April 3, 1985) is a British artist, whose work is heavily influenced by the techniques used in the production of paper money[1]. He attended the Slade School of Fine Art, graduating in 2008[2]. His work consists of printmaking, drawing and engravings, and digital art in the form of non-fungible tokens. His work is "inspired by current events, themes of genius and Human potential [and] narratives beyond the mainstream..."[3] Badley lives and works in London, United Kingdom.
Tom Badley is recognized as part of the Crypto Art movement[4], also known as "Rare Digital Art" - art that exists on a Blockchain, lending it digital scarcity. His printed works make use of intaglio and lithographic printing, as well as digital engraving - a process of using a tablet to transfer detailed line work into printed media.
Badley's notable portraits include Julian Assange, Edward Snowden and Kanye West.[5]
