Tom Parker (information security)

Tom Parker is an English computer security author, technologist and investor. Recent notable activities include founding of FusionX, a computer security firm which defined the way the industry utilizes red teaming to evaluate enterprise cyber risk. In 2015, FusionX was acquired by Accenture. In 2000, Parker founded a security consulting company, Global InterSec, which at the time was one of the most prominent organizations, researching and responsibly disclosing flaws in enterprise software, including one of the first remotely exploitable flaws in GNU_C_Library.

Parker often presents at notable industry events, including the Black Hat Briefings and Training and is a regular columnist for Darkreading, a UBM_plc publication. Parker is also a frequent guest lecturer on the topic of information warfare at several Washington DC area universities such as Georgetown University.[citation needed]
