Tamäs Körmendi is (born July 18, 2000) is a Hungarian actor, director, and film producer professionally known as Tom Rounbon. He is best known for his own made works such as A Dream. His other films, productions include The Dream (2016), The Dream 2 (2019), Shattered World (2020), Cortez Show (2020). Tom established his own production company called Hellhouse Pictures and created his productions under this label.
Early life and family[edit]
Tamäs Körmendi was born on July 18, 2000, in Györ to Renäta and Attila Körmendi. He is having 2 siblings, an older brother Attila and a younger sister Klaudia. During his childhood, Tom entertained the idea to become a farm man. He loved to be around the field driving tractors with his grandpa. However, as the years flew he attended a mechanical school in the downtown of Györ. He graduated with fair marks but he was not happy with the subjects he was learning, decided to go around the entertainment industry. In 2017 he applied to an acting course but their parents did not have the amount for the upcoming fees that would come next.
Acting carrer[edit]
In 2016 he already started to make his very first amateur short film The Dream. The premier was in his secondary school on a regular lesson (he also made it available on YouTube). The audience was not impressed by the quality of the film, however, this did not stop Rounbon to make a direct sequel to his movie The Dream 2. Building from the criticism he established a longer and more complex story for his new film. Released on April 08, 2019. The movie got mixed reviews from the locals who have seen it, while it only had one language, English. This caused the film to have even fewer views on video platforms. By the time flew about 2 months after the release some streaming platforms picked up the movie for a small fee. This made Rounbon more dedicated to putting more effort into his movies.
After making his second feature movie, in 2019 he started to look for other directions of making movies. Rounbon took free courses in animation. This year he directed his very first animated short the Shattered World. So as all his productions the Shattered World also contained horror elements with a sense of humor. Next to directing, producing, and voice acting the characters in his films, Rounbon began to produce original songs and soundtracks for both animated and live-action productions. Simply named Hellhouse Records under this label all of the soundtracks got released on the official YouTube page of Hellhouse Pictures .
In 2020 Rounbon produced another animated short based on the Hungarian talk show Monika Show, the Cortez Show. This is the first animated short what is having 2 separate languages, Hungarian and English. To catch the essence of the Hungarian language he took an extra effort to synchronize the short, however, the views did not represent the work he was putting in, Rounbon continued to make sequels his already made shorts. In 2020 the sequel to the Shattered World has been released on YouTube with barely, but more views than the first episode. Tom also made a spin-off music video starring StickGuy from the Shattered World for a music competition.
In 2021 Rounbon released the third feature film, the reboot of his original The Dream simply called A Dream. This episode contained the story of the first and the second film with a great spin on the source material. The film was the first movie of his that contained animated elements of simplistic CGI. The running time is also improved from 40 minutes to more than an hour. Gained way better criticism than the last 2 films, but the views were again under his expectations.
Music Carrer[edit]
In 2018 Rounbon tried out to produce rap music. Wrote lyrics about his life experiences mostly about the sad parts of it. His first single Guilty was about some terrible stories he was experiencing in elementary school. Released on every major streaming platform, Tom did not gain enough streams to kick out from the crowd. After the release of his first single Rounbon produced a full-length album named Freestyle however, he never released to any streaming platforms, only some snippets on YouTube. In 2021 for the release of the new Spiral theatrical movie, Tom produced a tie-in song JigSaw to compete with 21 savage's song named Spiral.
