Tom Stevenson (born 1963) is an investment writer, author and broadcaster, currently an investment director at Fidelity International. Before joining Fidelity, he was a financial journalist for 20 years. He worked for publications including Investors Chronicle, The Independent and Daily Telegraph.
Early Life[edit]
Stevenson was born in 1964 and educated at Durham University. He graduated in 1985 with a BA in English, and continued his education at Clark University from 1985–1987, where he received an MA in English.
Career[edit]
Tom joined Fidelity in 2008.[1]. He is a commentator on investing and financial markets in the press and on radio and television. Widely quoted in the national press and appearing regularly on radio and television, Tom is a sought-after expert on markets, investment trends and investment funds[2]. He writes a weekly column for the Daily Telegraph and appears regularly on the BBC, Sky and other channels. His no-nonsense weekly column gives an investor's eye view of the most important market, economic and business stories[3].
At Fidelity, he is responsible for developing and communicating the investment views of the company’s personal investing platform[4].
He was educated at Ipswich School, Durham University, and Clark University.
Tom's interests include macro economics, investment strategy, funds, food, golf and the liberal backlash[5]
