Tamara Savelyeva (born 2003) is an Amsterdam based mixed media artist specializing in coming-of-age photography.[1]

Biography[edit]

Toma (Tamara) Savelyeva was born in Moscow, Russia in 2003. She grew up in Moscow, Kolchugino and Lukhovitsy, and still speaks Russian. Her family moved to the Netherlands in 2009.[2]

She has successfully completed her photography studies at the Nederlandse Academie voor Beeldcreatie in 2019. Savelyeva first gained public notice[1] with her work in the group show Facade (2021), at London's Holy Art Gallery. The show included her large c-print staged portraits of young adolescent girls.[3] Toma Savelyeva currently lives and works in Amsterdam.

Savelyeva's work appears on the cover and liner notes of Russian indie rock/shoegaze group krasochnobledno's 2020 album Vse Horosho?, as well as the covers of the EP releases for the album.

In September 2021, Savelyeva started selling non-fungible tokens, digital representations of art whose ownership is verified by a blockchain.[4]
