Tommy Igoe was born on November 18, 1964, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is a renowned bandleader and drummer known primarily for his work in the jazz genre. Igoe is celebrated for his dynamic performances and his contributions to jazz education.
Igoe is recognized for his leadership of the Birdland Big Band, a position he has held for over a decade, performing weekly at the Birdland Jazz Club in New York City. He has also been a part of various notable ensembles and has performed with many renowned musicians.
