Toni Gilpin

Toni Gilpin is a labor historian and activist and author. She won a 2018 Debra Bernhardt Award for Labor Journalism.[1][2] Gilpin grew up in an actively union family.[3] Gilpin studied labor history with David Montgomery as a graduate student at Yale University.[4]

Her work appears in LA Progressive,[5] Labor Notes,[6] Leo weekly,[7] and Jacobin.[8]
