Anthonia Okoro Ferrari (born Ferrari Bongkem)[1] is a Nigerian actress, scriptwriter and film producer[2] who specializes in the Yoruba Film Industry. She came into the limelight through her roles in two Yoruba movies titled Angela and Omotoke Gold. She is the recipient of the 2017 City People Movie Awards for the Best New Actress of the Year (Yoruba).[3][4] She made known that she use to have a crush on Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy.[5]

Early life and education[edit]

Okoro attended High-Class International School in Ikotun for both her primary and secondary education and later on, studied accounting at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) for her National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND).[2]

Acting career[edit]

Okoro's acting career began when she was featured in a movie titled Olosho by Kunle Afod in 2010.[1] Since then, she has featured in other movies like Ese, Fijagbemi and Divorce Not Allow amongst others. She was brought into the limelight with two movies called Angela and Omotoke Gold. She is also the producer two movies which are Iran and Omotoke Gold.[1]

Awards[edit]

In 2017, Tonia Okoro won the City People Movie Awards for the Best New Actress of the Year in the Yoruba category.[3]
