Personal Life[edit]

Preceding his life as a Country Artist, Tony Jackson enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after high school, and served four years, and then was redeployed during the Iraq War. During his time in the Marine Corps, he participated in a Marine sponsored Computer Science school in Quantico, Virginia. Upon finishing his service, Tony Jackson worked an Information Technology job in finance for a major bank in Richmond, Virginia.[8]

Career[edit]

His music career began when a local rock band needed a new singer, and Jackson decided to take the role. In 2014, Tony Jackson combined his name with his friend and bandmate's middle name to form Jackson Ward. He then recorded the album Goodbye Trouble with Jackson Ward. After George Jones passed away, Tony Jackson recorded a tribute[9] to The Grand Tour, one of George Jone's iconic hits, and it caught the attention of Donna Meade[10], who is the widow of Jimmy Dean. She invited him to perform at her yearly barn dance, and his reception was received with a standing ovation, he was then scheduled to be a regular performer,[11] and was then advised to head to Nashville to connect with one of her producers, Jim Della Croce, who was a publicist for The Beach Boys.

Upon arriving in Nashville, he immediately began recording music alongside Rock & Roll Hall of Famers John Sebastian, and Steve Cropper, and Country Hall of Famers Vince Gill, and Bill Anderson, releasing his first two singles Nashville Cats and The Grand Tour. His video of The Grand Tour ended up on the #1 spot in the CMT Music 12-Pack Countdown Chart for multiple weeks, and top 40 on the MusicRow Country Breakdown Chart. This leads up to his release of his debut album, Tony Jackson on May 5th, 2017.
