Town Women & Children Hospital Peshawar (TWCH) is a Gynae and Paediatric hospital and the primary paeds health care hospital started working in May, 2013. TWCH lies in University Town Peshawar. This is one of the 1st paediatric hospital in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which includes 15 beds in paediatric side and many incubators in neonatal section while Gynae side includes 20 bedded capacity. It includes ventilators, High Frequency Oscillation Ventilator, CPAP machines and incubators. Town Women & Children Hospital is the first and only hospital in Pakistan to introduce this mode of ventilation. The hospital received referrals from all the major hospitals in the province, for ventilatory support. Majority of patients were referred due to prematurity, Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Guillain Barre Syndrome.
