Trabecular Metal

Trabecular Metal is a material made by a porous tantalum. The structure of the material is very close to trabecular bone. This kind of structure helps to incorporate an implant into the bone and stimulate vascularisation. Main usage of this technology is hip and knee replacement, spine surgery, and dental reconstructive surgery. Owner of technology is Zimmer Biomet.
