Tradify is a job management application for trade and field service businesses.[1] The company was founded in 2010 in Auckland, New Zealand by electrician Curtis Bailey.

In 2021, Tradify raised NZ$10 million in venture funding led by Movac and Icehouse Ventures.[1] In 2024, it was acquired by the United Kingdom–based software company The Access Group.[2][3]

History

Tradify was established in Auckland in 2010. The company developed a software platform intended to assist tradespeople with managing the administrative work associated with jobs and projects.[1]

In March 2021, Tradify completed a NZ$10 million Series A funding round led by the venture capital firm Movac, with participation from Icehouse Ventures and others. The funding supported expansion into Australia and the United Kingdom.[1]

In October 2024, The Access Group announced that it had agreed to purchase Tradify. Reports in New Zealand business media placed the value of the deal at more than NZ$100 million.[3][4]

Products and services

Tradify provides a cloud-based job management system used by trade and field-service companies in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, maintenance, and building sectors. The software includes functions for creating job quotes and estimates, scheduling work, tracking job costs, issuing invoices, and getting paid. A native mobile app allows job information to be recorded and updated in the field.[5]

The platform integrates with accounting packages including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Sage to transfer financial data between systems. Listings on business software directories state that Tradify is used by trade businesses in several English-speaking markets.[6]

Reception

Coverage in the New Zealand Herald, RNZ, and the National Business Review has described Tradify as part of New Zealand’s technology sector growth and noted its acquisition by The Access Group.[1][2]

User reviews on platforms such as Capterra, Trustpilot, and Software Advice record mostly positive feedback about usability and customer support, though such sites are not regarded as independent sources.[5][6][7]
