Gas furnace using gas combustion for a water heat exchanger, operating without forcing the combustion and air circulation. It has a greater gas consumption than a condensing furnace and a greater risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. However, it works well in old installations requiring higher water capacity and operation at lower cold water return pressure with an open loop system. https://www.wolf.eu/en/glossarentry/atmospheric-gas-burner/
