From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) is a non-profit organization based in Cotabato City, Philippines. It is formed of experienced development sector specialists who have banded together to support research, monitoring, evaluation, and development agencies' learning processes.

TFI was founded in 2018 as Transforming Fragilities by Tommy Pangcoga and Ernesto Casiple in response to a lack of data and appreciation for its use in framing and implementing development programs, contributing to poor results and inefficiency in management. In 2019, Tommy and Ernesto incorporated it into Transforming Fragilities, Inc.

History

TFI was established in 2018, with Tommy and Nonoy serving as vanguards, a pool of consultants with various specializations serving as pillars, and networks of stakeholders and organizations in BARMM and Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN serving as forces. Tommy Pangcoga and Ernesto Casiple observed during their years in Mindanao development that a lack of data[1] or appreciation for its use in framing and implementing development programs contributes to poor results and inefficiency in management. They witnessed the peace and conflict dynamics of Mindanao's transformation from a war-torn land to lasting peace. They were eager to identify the underlying causes of Mindanao's societal divide[2]. They wished to contribute to transforming the world's fragilities and complexities. A few more conversations with colleagues in the development sector confirmed their observation about the need for support services for international peacebuilding, humanitarian, and development organizations, particularly in monitoring and evaluation[3], research, and learning. On February 23, 2019, the incorporation of TFI took effect.
