Travelbeta is an African online travel booking company,[1] that launched in 2015.[2] The Lagos based company started as an offline agency before launching the online platform in october, 2015.[1] In November 2015, the company acquired a two million dollar seed fund.[3][1]

The company has a focus on needs in the areas of flights, hotels, airport pickups, vacation packages, corporate packages, visa assistance and international telephone services[4][5] The company is assisted by Amadeus and International Air Transport Association.[6] In 2015, the company raised two million dollars in a seed fund.[7] [8] The company later in 2015 launched a feature on the website that allows for people to book for preferred tours and activities around the world.[9][10] The company by the end of 2015 was providing bookings to over 300,000 hotels worldwide and flight to 900 destinations around the world.[11]In 2017, the company was announced as the official travel partner of the One Africa Music Festival in Dubai.[12]

In 2016,Travelbeta won the Nigerian Technology Awards for online travel agency of the year.[13] The company also received the same award for travel booking website of the year for 2018.[14]
