Trevor Maynard is a poet, playwright and editor. After an earlier career as a playwright, he current works as the managing editor of "The Poetic Bond"[1] an annual anthology of international poetry garnered from new media, social, and professional networking. Maynard is a member of The Poetry Society, a former executive member of The Writers' Guild of Great Britain, and former treasurer of the Theatre Writers' Union.

His early writing career was as a playwright, studying Theatre Studies and Drama at Royal Holloway College before going on to write and direct on the London Fringe at theatres such as The White Bear, Etcetera, Pentameters, and Barons Court. His plays were reviewed in Time Out, [2] What's On,[3] The Stage, Ham and High,[4], and The Morning Star,[5]


Actors performing in his plays have include Fiona Wellburn (The Lenny Henry Show) as "Jen" and Johnny Harris (Jawbone), (Fortitude), (This Is England '86} as "Ben" in "En Vacances" ,[6] [7] Peter Attard (To Sir With Love) in "The Final Curtain", Joanna Robinson-Holden[8] in "From Pillow to Post", Robin Ince (The Infinite Monkey Cage) in "Shadow Walker",[9], Rebecca Cardinale and Daren Jacobs (Brothers) in "Glass" [10][11]. and Paul Whelan, Mike McKone, and Gillian Parry in "Dole Trilogy" [12]

His later career has been as a poet and editor. Since 2011 he has published the work of 170 poets from over 30 countries. In December 2018, the eighth volume in The Poetic Bond series was published, featuring 125 poems from 72 poets.

In 2013, Maynard contributed two poems to Men in the Company of Women [13], and was also published in Aesthetica Magazine. In 2016, he edited and published Echoes In The Earth by award winning Indian poet Pushpita Awasthi[14]
