Trinnaphop Thongchay (born 21 April 2006), formerly named Thanadach Benjamin Sriratchaha and also known as Li Dacheng (Chinese: 李大丞) or by his nickname Ahvo, is a Thai actor, model, and singer of Chinese-Taiwanese descent under Domundi TV.

Early life and education

Thongchay was born on 21 April 2006 at Chao Phya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital in Prachinburi province, Thailand. He was raised in Prachantakham district by his adoptive parents, Wanchai Thongchay, a Thai Chinese of Hainanese descent, and Kanokorn Thongchay, a Thai of Taiwanese descent. Within his family household, he grew up alongside three younger maternal half-siblings: his sister Kannika, who is of White Middle Eastern descent, as well as his brothers Phiphatphong and Jiratha.

His biological father, Phosri Sriratchaha, is a Thai of Lebanese descent, while his biological mother is a Thai of Taiwanese descent from Prachinburi. Thongchay was unaware of his true biological lineage during his early childhood and only discovered his full ancestral background at the age of 16. Raised in a multicultural environment, he developed an interest in foreign languages from an early age and became multilingual, speaking Thai fluently along with basic proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, English, French, and Spanish.

Thongchay began his early education at Wuttinan School in Rayong province for kindergarten, before attending Bangkok Christian College in Bangkok for his first year of primary education. He transferred to Bangphra Wittaya School in Chonburi province for his second year, and completed his primary education (grades 3–6) at Chumchon Wat Si Prachantakham School in Prachinburi.

For secondary education, Thongchay initially studied in the Chinese-language program at Prachantaratbumrung School in Prachinburi. However, during his eleventh grade (Mattayom 5), his studies were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and instances of bullying, leading to his withdrawal. He subsequently restarted his upper secondary education in the French-language program at Prachinkalayanee School; however, due to continued bullying, he departed after one semester and ultimately completed his secondary education through the Non-formal education (NFE) system.

He later moved to Taiwan to pursue higher education at Ming Chuan University, where he initially studied Performing Arts in the School of Communication. During this period, his growing interest in film and television prompted him to focus on acting and dance training. To broaden his career prospects alongside his work in the entertainment industry, he concurrently pursued a second major in Commercial Aviation within the Department of Aviation Management at Ming Chuan University.[1]

Career

Thongchay began his career in the entertainment industry in 2018 by auditioning for reality series such as The Face Men Thailand Season 2[2] and TAKE HORMONES THAILAND Season 3.[3]

He subsequently worked as a runway model and actor, participating in major fashion events including ELLE Fashion Week 2025 in Bangkok. In April 2024, he was officially introduced as an artist and actor under Domundi TV. He has since appeared in television series such as Channel 3's Jao Khun Phee Kap E-Nang Kham Duang[4] and films including Tha Rae.[5]

Personal life

Heritage, early life, and career origins

Thongchay was raised in Prachinburi province by his adoptive parents, Wanchai Thongchay, a Thai Chinese of Hainanese descent, and Kanokorn Thongchay, a Thai of Taiwanese descent. Within his household, he grew up alongside three younger maternal half-siblings, including a sister of White Middle Eastern descent.[6] His biological father, Phosri Sriratchaha, is of Lebanese descent, while his biological mother is of Taiwanese descent from Prachinburi.[6] Thongchay learned of his ancestral background at the age of 16.[7]

Coming from a Chinese-Taiwanese background, he developed an early passion for foreign languages, particularly Mandarin Chinese. In addition to his native Thai and basic proficiency in Mandarin, he possesses basic skills in English, French, and Spanish.[8] During his student years, Thongchay gained extensive work experience through various part-time service jobs, working as a server and staff member at several restaurant chains, including Swensen's, Santa Fe' Steak, McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut.[9]

Beliefs and interests

Thongchay's religious path reflects a diverse spiritual background. In his early childhood, he initially practiced Protestantism following his biological father and received baptism in 2009, before later transitioning to Catholicism. In 2011, after moving to reside with his adoptive mother (his biological grandmother), he became actively involved in Mahayana Chinese Buddhist traditions alongside his family, regularly participating in temple activities, annual vegetarian festivals, and Chinese New Year observances. In 2022, he underwent a short-term ordination as a novice monk (*buat na fai*) during the funeral rites for his biological mother.[10]

Introduced to music by his adoptive father at the age of 10, Thongchay previously played the piano and violin. His regular hobbies include photography and dancing. He also participates in various sports, including badminton, swimming, bowling, basketball, and tennis, frequently playing bowling with an international group of friends while studying in Taiwan.

Relationships

Thongchay has been in a personal relationship with Nattaphol Khongmeng (nicknamed Arm).[11]
