From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Triple Pop is an American independent record label based in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2007, Triple Pop's artists' roster of albums and singles includes releases by Ernie Halter, Kris Farrow, Iva Dawn, Whisper Suite and Kacey Musgraves.

Triple Pop's releases include a variety of genres, including rock and roll, pop, alt-country, singer-songwriter and instrumental.

History[edit]

Triple Pop is a digital only independent record label [1][2]. The first Triple Pop single, Whitney Elixabeth’s “If We Were a Movie” was released in March 2007. Triple Pop followed with other releases by artists such as Erica Lane, Bryce Larsen, Ernie Halter, Donald Gould and Kris Farrow’s Acoustic Guitar Karaoke album series.

Triple Pop was the first record label to discover and record GRAMMY award winner, Kacey Musgraves, in 2008.[3] [4] Kacey has omitted references to the recordings in her official bio even though "Apologize" went on to become her #1 most streamed track worldwide. The tracks have been a source of dispute between Triple Pop and her management as they wanted to make her appear as if she was a brand new performer in 2013, without any prior recording history.

In 2017, Triple Pop produced an album by Donald Gould aka the "Homeless Piano Man" who went viral on YouTube. [5][6] Before the album was released, Donald Gould was unable to commit to promotion and moved to Germany, leaving the album in limbo.

In March 2018, Triple Pop released a digital only three song EP of remixes by Kacey Musgraves to commemorate ten years.[7][8]
