Troverie was founded by CEO Fred Levin, the former president of NPD's luxury practice, LGI Network, and Movado Group's Concord Watch Company, with the goal of "establish[ing] an innovative e-commerce, omni-channel platform serving the luxury watch consumer of today."[1]

Operations[edit]

Troverie doesn't own any of its inventory; it is partnered with more than 70 jewelry stores nationwide, which allow Troverie to sell their watches online.[2] Users can also go to one of these 70 stores after buying through Troverie to pick up their watch in person.[3] Troverie is authorized by each of the brands it carries; each watch comes with the manufacturer's warranty.[4] Each sale on Troverie is assigned based on customer-satisfaction surveys, which are calculated based on a 90-day rolling average.[5] Troverie partnered with Crown & Caliber in 2018 to offer a trade-in program via the Troverie website.[6] Troverie aims to "form an 'everyone can win' point of view, across three constituencies (consumer, jewelers, and manufacturers) with very clear, varying goals."[7]
