Troy Melton
Troy Wilford Melton (March 2, 1921 Jackson TN - November 15, 1995 Los Angeles CA) was a stuntman and actor who migrated with his family to Los Angeles during the Great Depression. After his service in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Troy's acting and stuntwork picked up in the late 1940's and early 1950's.
Melton is one of the founding members of the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures, and his career spanned over forty years. Notable actors that Troy doubled for include Roy Rogers, Kent Taylor, Gregory Walcott, Richard Webb, and Duncan Renaldo.
Troy died at age 74 from cancer.
