Tsinghua University Department of Industrial Engineering (Tsinghua IE) is one of the departments of Tsinghua University, China. It was founded in 2001.[1] and Dr. Gavriel Salvendy (Professor of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University and Member of the National Academy of Engineering in United States) was appointed as the Founding Chair Professor and Department Head[2]
Tsinghua IE is among best Industrial Engineering department in China[3][2][4]. It have Tsinghua-Aachen (Germany) Joint Master Program in collboration with RWTH Aachen University, Germany[5][6][7]
Institutes and Centres[edit]
Tsinghua IE has three institutes[1]:
- Operations Research & Data Science
- System Operation and Digital Management
- Human Factors and Human-System Interaction
Tsinghua IE also operates two university-level multi-disciplinary application-oriented institutes or centers[1]:
- Institute of Quality and Reliability
- Established jointly by Tsinghua University and State Administration for Market Regulation
- Institute of Industrial Culture
- Established jointly by Tsinghua University and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
- Center for Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Established jointly by Tsinghua University and Jiaozhou City at Qingdao City, Shandong Province.
