Tunjay Akbarli (born 5 January 2010) is an Azerbaijani computer programmer, systems architect, and technology developer. He is best known as the primary creator of Codira, an open-source programming language developed in Azerbaijan.
Biography
Akbarli was born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan. Developing an interest in software engineering and systems architecture at an early age, he focused his self-directed research on compiler design, scalability, and automated code resilience.
In 2025, Akbarli co-authored *The Codira Programming Language*, a book detailing the syntax and structural design of the language. His work primarily focuses on the intersection of automated developer tools and system-level architectures.
