Turk Maritime and Global Strategies Centre (Turkish: Türk Denizcilik ve Global Stratejiler Merkezi) also known as Turk DEGS or with its previous name BAU DEGS. It was established on July 22, 2020 by Cihat Yaycı, who retired as an admiral of the Turkish Naval Forces. Yaycı is also known as one of the co-founders of Blue Homeland doctrine.[1]
Turk DEGS is a strategy center operating in the field of international relations, international law and maritime.[2] The centre's goal is defined as "Identifying, defending and developing Turkey's rights and interests within the framework of international law".[3]
On July 11, 2021, the centre left Bahçeşehir University, where it was previously located, and changed its name from BAU DEGS to Turk DEGS.[4]
