TweakTown is a technology, gaming, and science news and reviews website. Content is focused primarily on computing, but the website also offers content on general tech, gaming, science, and space news, as well as in-depth computing-related reviews.
History[edit]
TweakTown began as the homepage of Cameron Wilmot[1], the owner of the website.[2]. In 1999[3][4], his homepage “Wilmot’s Website” changed to be known as TweakTown when the domain was registered in 2000.[5]
One of the first guides published on TweakTown was its 56k modem tweaking guide[6], which advised readers how to improve their internet connection. After that, companies started sending review samples for the website to review. TweakTown’s content has been featured by some of the biggest online media.[7][8][9]
Every year at Computex Taipei, TweakTown hosts one of the biggest media parties of event, often attended by 300-400 people[10][11]. The party was not held in 2020, 2021, and 2022 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
