Twoblade is a personal software lab and experimental project suite created by independent developer and YouTuber Outpoot (known online as FaceDev). [1]Launched in May 2025, Twoblade.com serves as the primary public instance of the innovative SHARP email protocol, a JSON-based replacement for traditional email.
In addition to hosting the web client, Twoblade acts as a showcase for future-forward software prototypes and serves as a community hub for developers interested in protocol design, UI/UX innovation, and self-hosted services.
Overview
Twoblade was introduced in tandem with the launch of the Sharp protocol, as part of the FaceDev video titled "I made my own Email Protocol". The project combines experimental front-end design, modern web protocols, and humorous yet practical software engineering philosophies.
Features
Twoblade.com includes:
- A live, publicly accessible instance of the Sharp email system.
- Account creation with built-in IQ test and vocabulary limiter.
- Access to Sharp’s inbox, real-time chat, and PWA support.
- Explorable UI with minimalistic and reactive design themes.
Development
The front-end and server-side code for Twoblade are open-source, released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license, and available on GitHub as part of the twoblade repository.
