Tyrone Michael Jordan is an American business executive, corporate and private equity director.[1] Currently, he serves on the public board of directors of Oshkosh Corporation,[2] Axalta Coating Systems, Ltd., FuelCell Energy, and TPI Composites, Inc.,[3][4][5][6][7][8] with board committee roles including Audit, Nom & Gov, Human Resources (compensation), and Technology committees.[9]
Jordan previously served on the public board of directors of Cooper Tire & Rubber Company,[10] Dura Automotive Systems,[11] and Trinity Industries, Inc.[1][12] He is a member of the private equity board of AEA Investors/Ascential Technologies, and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).[9][13]
Early Life and Education
Jordan was born in Neptune, New Jersey. He received his Executive Aerospace & Defense Master of Business Administration (ADMBA)[1] in Strategy & Finance from the Haslam Business School at the University of Tennessee.[9] He received a BS in Pre-law from Eastern Michigan University (EMU),[14] and a BASc in Industrial Engineering Technology from Purdue University.[1][9][13][15]
Professional Career
Jordan began his career at General Motors in 1984, where he worked in engineering, supply chain, and product development roles on four continents before becoming executive vice president of global operations and customer experience.[13][15] From 2009 to 2013, he directed global operations and supply chain for the UTC Aerospace Systems division.[1][3][13][15] In 2015, Jordan was appointed president and chief operating officer of DURA Automotive Systems, overseeing the company’s global operations until stepping down in 2019.[2][4][11][16]
