UGCA 1, also known as PGC 538 is a Magellanic[2] barred[3] spiral galaxy located about 160 million light-years away[2] in the constellation Cetus.[4] It is the first object listed in the Uppsala General Catalogue Addendum[5], a catalog of Non-UGC galaxies compiled by the Uppsala Astronomical Observatory in 1974 after the observatory compiled the original Uppsala General Catalogue in 1973.[6]
