Plot[edit]
In this documentary we are going live the last months of the preparation of the ultra-solo marathon runner Nico de Corato, Italian but resident in Dubai who decided to celebrate the 47th National Day (United Arab Emirates) in a special way.[1]. Nico is not a professional athlete, but a blogger[2], but he decided to run a 140 km race in a single stage, designed and organized by himself and his staff; a challenge which saw him facing huge difficulties. We will relive this history through the images of the training, his direct story, the messages of the people who were following him from afar and the interviews of who was next to him in those moments. Until the moment of the race itself; a race put at risk by a high fever that hit him just the day before the departure.
Production[edit]
The movie has been realised both using original videos from his training and from the event, and realising interviews after the event. Nico was followed in the most spectacular part - the desert - by a drone, which gave us some breathtaking images of Dubai desert and his run.
Distribution[edit]
The movie has been distributed mainly via YouTube, but it has been also proposed on the website of La Gazzetta dello Sport[3]
