Umar Alisha, born on August 2, 1966, is the 9th Peetadhipathi of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham.[1][2] He became head of the 545-year-old institution on September 9, 1989, succeeding his father, Mohiddin Badusha II.
Alisha is the chairman of the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust and the Umar Alisha Sahithi Samithi. Alisha is a poet, who writes in the Telugu language, and is the editor-in-chief of spiritual magazine, Tatvaznanamu.
