Underwood Ammo is a small arms ammunition manufacturer for the consumer (non-military) market in ammunition, found at retailers across the United States that specializes in the production of both handgun, as well as long gun ammunition.[1] The company is headquartered in Sparta, IL. Underwood Ammo manufactures a range of ammunition, including cartridges that are "lead free", as well as those made from solid copper monolithic bullets, as opposed to the more conventional hollow point ammunition that is generally popular for self defense purposes.[2]

Underwood Ammo manufactures ammunition in a wide variety of calibers, including: .380 ACP, 9mm Luger[3], .223 Remington, 10mm Auto, .32 ACP, .45 ACP, and more.[4]

During the excess demand of 2021[5][6], and similar to other ammunition manufacturers[7], Underwood Ammo was experiencing long delays in manufacturing and delivering new ammunition to suppliers.[8]
