The US Portsmouth Seahawks are a rugby league team based in Portsmouth, Hants. They've competed in the South West Division of the Rugby League Conference since 2016. Previously from South East 2011-2015.

US Portsmouth Seahawks were formed in 2008 and based at United Service Portsmouth Sports Ground. The Seahawks initially participated in the London Premier League until a league restructure encouraged the team to transfer to the newly formed South East Regional League. The maiden season included the Seahawks' first Grand Final which they sadly lost to a strong Elmbridge Eagles. 2012 saw the Seahawks take home their first silverware beating Southampton Spitfires in the all Hampshire Grand Final. The following year the Seahawks backed up their winning season with the retention of the title against Medway Merlins in fierce final that was to be repeated in 2014 however, Merlins stifled the Seahawks 'hat-trick' by taking the spoils at their Portsmouth fortress. The absence of ultimate success was short lived as the Seahawks dominated 2016 unbeaten throughout taking the Grand Final trophy in style comfortably defeating [Guildford Giants]] at their home ground.
In 2016 the Seahawks transferred to South West Regional League to avoid the dissemination of South East Regional League into a Merit format. The new league brought new challenges in the form of tough competition from the outset. Seahawks were however successful in achieving their 6th successive Grand Final and defeating Swindow St George for their 4th championship. 2017 sadly brought a reality check as the Seahawks failed to qualify for the Playoffs and struggled to rebalance the squad after a number of senior players retired from the game.
Seahawks firmly intend to return to winning ways in 2018 as they compete in their 3rd season in the South West Regional League.
