Universal basic skills

Universal basic skills are the minimum necessary knowledge and skills of their practical application necessary for the economic competitiveness of graduates secondary educational institutions. They are evaluated according to the first level of tests Programme for International Student Assessment. Include reading, writing, reading comprehension, instructions, ability to for further training, necessary for graduates of secondary educational institutions to work in production and other areas of the economy.[1] According to the world survey of specialists Ifo Institute for Economic Research universal basic skills are currently lacking in 62% of graduates of secondary educational institutions.[1]
