University of Chester Press is the in-house book publishing operation for the University of Chester.[1] It was established as Chester Academic Press in 2001 and relaunched in 2011 as the University of Chester Press.[2][3] The University of Chester Press focuses primarily on publishing original research and creative work from within the University, together with titles which have a particular relevance to the University or the wider region.[4]

The Press has now published more than 70 titles in a diverse range of subject areas, such as local and regional history, social sciences, humanities, clinical sciences, arts, media and education.[5] In addition, it has two long-running series of publications: the Issues in the Social Sciences series and the Cheshire Prize for Literature anthologies, which date back to 2002 and 2003 respectively.[6] [7][8]
