Uruky (euro-key) is a paid ad-free search engine developed by I'm Blue, Lda, a company located in Gaia, Portugal.[1]

Its name is inspired by an amalgamation of the words "euro" and "key".[2]

Features

Uruky

Uruky functions as a metasearch engine to aggregate search results from other established search engines with its own indexes for websites. They run their own crawler and index under the brand name Uruky Site Search, which focuses on indie and small-web websites. As of July 2026, Uruky listed that its sources for search results were derived from Mojeek, EUSP, Linkup, Marginalia, Serper, Uruky Site Search, PriEco, and Pixabay (for images).

Uruky requires no personal information to work, the only thing required to login being a randomly-generated account number (generated randomly on signup).[3]

Uruky offers many different customization options. Websites shown in search results can have their ranking be raised, lowered, pinned, or excluded. Additionally, Uruky also offers the ability to customize the user interface with many options to show/hide UI elements, filters, and highlighting or removing malicious and/or AI-generated URLs and images from appearing in search results. Shortcuts (called "bangs") can be created and allow searches to be redirected to different websites.

Uruky does not plan to offer any Generative AI services or products, and plans to only focus on search and search-related features.

Uruky Site Search

On April, 2026, Uruky Site Search was launched. It provides website owners with a way to index their content and provide custom search on their own websites or on a white-label Uruky Site Search page for their customers. Additionally, it also includes an index focused on indie and small web websites, which can be optionally queried and included in Uruky.

Business model

Uruky has no ads or sponsored search results, instead generating its revenue from an account-based, top-up-based service. Uruky offers new customers a 2-hour free trial if they prove to be humans, and then can purchase up to 360 days (~12 months) of Uruky, with each 30 days costing €5 (tax included).

Customers can pay with crypto via a ProxyStore partnership or anonymously with cash by mail.

As of July 2026, Uruky reportedly had roughly 250 active monthly accounts.

Privacy

The site claims not to collect user actions such as searches.[4]

Source Code / Open Source

While not exactly open source, Uruky allows customers who have had active (paying) accounts for over 12 months to download the currently-running source code with a BUSL license, which converts to AGPLv3 after 2 years.
