Fillemon Hangula was born in Oshivanda, Omusati region. He traveled to US in 2015 for a debate and came with a gold medal. The US president wanted him to stay but he refused with a reason that he wanted to complete his studies in Namibia. He completed grade 12 at Eengedjo SSS, Ohangwena region.
